1. Who we are
cicomediawp.com and the CICO Media and CICO Media Pro plugins are operated by Digimatica Sagl, Via G. Corti 5, 6828 Balerna (Canton Ticino), Switzerland, company number (UID) CHE-486.451.410 ("we", "us"). You can reach us at info@cicomediawp.com.
2. Acceptance
By using this website, downloading a plugin or buying a license you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them. If you use the plugins for a company or a client, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms on their behalf.
3. The plugins
CICO Media is a free plugin that improves the native WordPress Media Library. You can download it from this website and, once approved, from WordPress.org. It is released under the GPL-2.0-or-later license (GNU General Public License, version 2 or later), which gives you the freedoms stated in that license.
CICO Media Pro is a paid extension that requires CICO Media to be active. The license that applies to the code of CICO Media Pro is stated in the plugin package.
4. Pro license
A CICO Media Pro license covers one site (Single Site). The license is activated and managed through Freemius. You may not share your license key to use Pro on additional sites.
Licenses are sold as a yearly or monthly subscription. The price and the renewal period are shown in the checkout before you pay. A subscription renews until you cancel it, and you can cancel from your Freemius account or the link in your receipt.
If a license expires or is cancelled, Pro features pause. Your tags, settings and usage index stay in your database.
5. Orders and payments
This order is handled by Freemius, our official reseller (Merchant of Record). Freemius runs the checkout, takes the payment, handles VAT and issues invoices, and its own terms apply to the purchase. Prices are shown in the pricing section of the home page and in the checkout, in US dollars or euros.
6. Updates and support
Licensed users receive plugin updates and email support at info@cicomediawp.com while the license is active. We make reasonable efforts to answer and to fix reproducible problems, but we do not promise a response time or a result. To help us, include your WordPress and PHP versions, your CICO Media version and a short description of the problem.
7. Requirements
CICO Media requires WordPress 6.4 or later and PHP 7.4 or later. It has been tested on PHP 7.4 with WordPress 6.6 and on PHP 8.3 with WordPress 7.1. We cannot promise compatibility with every theme, plugin or server configuration.
8. Usage information is a guide
CICO Media shows where images are used, but it does not guarantee that an image is safe to delete, and it cannot detect every reference. The plugin never deletes, renames or moves files for you. You are responsible for your site and your content: keep backups and check before you delete anything.
9. Website content and intellectual property
The texts, images, logos and design of this website belong to Digimatica Sagl or its licensors. You may not copy them without our written permission, apart from what the law allows. WordPress and other names mentioned on this website belong to their owners.
10. No warranty
To the extent permitted by law, the website and the plugins are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as lost profits, lost data or loss of business, arising from the use of the website or the plugins. Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid license is limited to the amount you paid for that license in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, and your mandatory rights as a consumer are not affected.
12. Changes
We may update these terms, for example when we change the plugins or the way we sell them. The date at the top shows the latest version. A change does not affect a purchase you already made, unless the law allows it.
13. Governing law and place of jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Swiss substantive law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The courts at the registered seat of Digimatica Sagl in Balerna, Canton Ticino, Switzerland, have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection rules give you the right to bring a claim in another place.
